In a major escalation of the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict, a missile fragment from an Iranian strike impacted the vicinity of the U.S. Embassy compound in Tel Aviv, causing minor damage to the structure and prompting an immediate lockdown of the area.
According to initial reports, the missile was part of a barrage launched by Iran targeting key Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv and Haifa. Israel’s air defense system intercepted the incoming missile; however, shrapnel landed within the embassy perimeter, damaging parts of the external security infrastructure.
A spokesperson from the U.S. State Department confirmed that no American diplomats or staff were injured in the incident.
