Srinagar, June 18: Hon’ble MLA Eidgah, Haji Mubarak Gul, today visited Pamposh Colony, Palpora, where a massive fire incident engulfed several residential houses, leaving behind widespread destruction and displacing numerous families.
During his visit,Mubarak Gul met with the affected families, expressed deep solidarity with them, and took on-ground assessment of the situation. He directed the concerned field officials to carry out a comprehensive and immediate damage assessment so that timely relief and compensation can be provided to the victims.
While interacting with the affected residents, the MLA assured them that all necessary steps will be taken for their rehabilitation and support during this difficult period. He emphasized that the administration must act promptly to extend all possible help to the distressed families.
Calling the incident tragic, Mubarak Gul appealed to the Government to extend full support to the fire-affected families, most of whom belong to economically weaker sections. He urged the Hon’ble Chief Minister to sanction financial assistance to the victims from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund on priority basis.
