First Batch of Devotees Departs from Baltal Base Camp for Shri Amarnath Yatra

Baltal, July 3 : In a spirited and devotional atmosphere, the first batch of pilgrims embarking on the sacred Shri Amarnath Yatra was officially flagged off from the Baltal base camp early this morning. The yatra was ceremoniously inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, along with Nodal officer Shahid Choudhary,Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, and SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal.

Chants of “Bam Bam Bhole” echoed through the air as the devotees began their spiritual journey towards the revered Amarnath Holy Cave. Pilgrims, filled with enthusiasm and faith, set out on the challenging yet spiritually fulfilling trek amid tight security and comprehensive administrative arrangements.

Security personnel and administrative teams were present in full strength to ensure a smooth and safe passage for the yatris. Medical facilities, help desks, and logistical support have also been deployed along the route to cater to the needs of the pilgrims.

The Shri Amarnath Yatra stands as a symbol of unwavering faith and spiritual devotion, drawing thousands from across the country. Today’s flag-off marks the official beginning of the 2025 pilgrimage season from the Baltal route.
