Government Regulates ATV Services in Tangmarg : In an effort to improve the quality of services provided to tourists in the Tangmarg region of Kashmir, the government has issued an order to regulate the operation of All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs). As per the new order only 40 of the 84 registered ATVs will be permitted to operate daily on the Tangmarg to Drung route on rotation basis.

A daily roster of 40 ATVs will be allowed to ply the route and that must be submitted to the Gulmarg Development Authority (GDA) camp office in Tangmarg. Additionally, all operators are required to strictly adhere to safety norms, including the mandatory use of helmets.

This decision, taken by the Chief Executive Officer of the Gulmarg Development Authority, follows feedback from tourists and aims to provide better conveyance facilities while ensuring the safety of riders. The order is focused solely on regulating ATV operations and does not affect the current registration status of the vehicles.
