A special drive has been launched by Border Security Force (BSF) to train women’s close to the International Border in Jammu as beauticians, its spokesperson said on Saturday.
The initiative is a component of the BSF’s endeavours to empower border dwellers, encourage skill development, and cultivate self-reliance while guaranteeing the region’s overall development and prosperity, official said.
According to the official, 30 women in the R S Pura sector would receive the essential skills from the four-week beautician training program.
Last year, the program’s first phase ran from September 16 to October 25 for 15 women, and its second phase, which involved another group of 15 participants, started on December 23 and will run through January 18.
The training includes instruction on the skills necessary to become a beautician. Following the conclusion of the second phase, they will receive certificates acknowledging their acquired expertise, the spokeswoman stated.
