Day 1 Box Office Collection for Game Changer Worldwide: Rs 186 Crore launch contested, analysts claim Rs 100 crore inflation

Game Changer, the eagerly awaited film directed by S Shankar and starring Ram Charan, Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah, and Anjali, has opened well at the box office.

According to Sacnilk, the movie generated Rs 51.25 crore on its first day of release in India, more than the Rs 34 crore made on the first day of Ram Charan’s previous solo release, Vinaya Vidheya Rama, in 2019.

Naturally, the movie didn’t earn as much as the Ram Charan and Jr. NTR movie RRR, which brought in Rs 133 crore on its first day of release.

According to Andhra Box Office, the film’s earnings had been wildly misreported; the portal said that the inflated earnings of Rs 100 crore were “unprecedented.”

In Telugu, Game Changer earned Rs 42 crore, in Tamil, Rs 2.1 crore, and in Hindi, Rs 7 crore. It has also made Rs 3 lakh in Malayalam and Rs 10 lakh in Kannada.

With 51.32% occupancy for morning programs, 39.33% for afternoon shows, and 50.53% for nighttime shows of the Telugu version, Game Changer has attained an outstanding occupancy rate.

Impressively, 82% of the Hindi 4DX afternoon shows were occupied.

According to the movie’s producers, Game Changer has made Rs 186 crore globally.

Game Changer is a glimmer of hope for director S Shankar, whose previous film, Indian 2, starring Kamal Hassan, barely earned Rs 25.6 crore on its first day of release. Prior to that, his 2018 film 2.0, which starred Rajinikanth, became one of the biggest grossing Tamil films ever after earning over Rs 60 crore on its first day of release. Globally, 2.0 generated around Rs 720 crore.

Ram Charan portrays two distinct characters in Game Changer: Ram Nandan, an IAS officer, and Appanna, an activist. Anjali portrays Parvathy, and Kiara Advani plays Deepika, his love interest. Srikanth portrays an elderly chief minister named Sathyamurthy, while SJ Suryah plays the part of corrupt politician Mopidevi.
