We will discuss the benefits this tunnel that we can have:
- 1. Srinagar and Sonamarg’s connectivity will improve
- 2. Srinagar and Leh time will minimise. Earlier, it was 49 km but now it is 43 km , also the speed will increase from 30 km/hr to 70 km/hr
The total cost of this project is 2700 Cr. This is constructed over 8650 Ft Altitude. Those who will travel from Srinagar-Leh will get a great benefit from here.
This 12 km long tunnel will hav all weather access, i.e., 12 months easy access of travel through this tunnel and those who feared from lanslides and avalanches will also have interrupted access of it. It will be a great attraction because as Sonamarg has a mesmerizing scenic beauty which attracts a lot of tourists, so if it will have all weather access, definitely the inflow of tourists will increase and will boost the economy and the tourism.
As Sonamarg has a lot potential, it will develop more and will benefit more people.
