Doda: Superintendent of Police (SP) Doda, Sandeep Mehta, visited the Gundu area of Bhalesa, where he interacted with the local public. During the meeting, discussions were held on various social issues and evils prevalent in the society. The public appreciated the police's efforts and collaboration with the community, expressing satisfaction with the police's work in the area. They hoped that the police would continue to maintain the same level of dedication and service in the future. SP Sandeep Mehta assured the public that every possible assistance would be provided to them. He also emphasized the police's commitment to tracing and addressing individuals involved in wrongdoing in the society. The interaction aimed to strengthen the bond between the police and the public, fostering a sense of trust and cooperation in maintaining law and order in the region.

The National Highway connecting Jammu to Kishtwar and Doda has been blocked at multiple locations, including near Jathi, Assar, Baggage, Malhori, and Ragging Nalla, due to heavy landslides. Restoration work began overnight, and as of 9:30 AM today, single-side road restoration is underway. However, multiple sections of the road have been severely damaged. According to the latest updates, the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) is working diligently to clear the road. It's expected that both sides of the road will be clear by 3 PM today. Additionally, adjoining roads in Doda have also been blocked at multiple locations.
